About Everything Tomie I'm Bob Hechtel and I've worked for Tomie dePaola since August, 1979. Everythingtomie.com is a project officially separate from Tomie. I'm developing it in response to those who have asked for a simpler way (i.e., with the click of a mouse) to buy Tomie's books. As I worked on the website, I hoped the focus could be broader than just books. I wondered if Tomie might want to sell some things from his house and his barn. Maybe this site could become a sort of online Tomie dePaola Yard Sale. Since this is a work in progress, it will take time to add all of the available books and items to the site. Check back weekly.For those of you fiercely loyal to independent booksellers, I want you to know that most of the new books that are for sale are bought from our local independent bookseller, Morgan Hill Bookstore in New London, New Hampshire. If you'd like to order NEW books from a live person, order them from Morgan Hill (603-526-5850, New Hampshire) instead of through everythingtomie.com. You will be able to get personalized autographs through Morgan Hill. Everythingtomie.com cannot accept orders from locations outside the USA, and orders that need to be shipped to locations outside the USA. Payment is accepted only from PayPal. The advantage for you is that I'll never know your credit card information. Only PayPal will know it. After you've placed your order with everythingtomie.com, and after you've arranged for payment through PayPal, you'll receive confirmation emails from everythingtomie.com and PayPal. When the order is sent, you'll receive a notice from me confirming shipment. Inbetween receiving the order, and shipping the order, I'll write to you to ask if you'd like the autograph personalized. It will take a few days (maybe a couple of weeks) for Tomie dePaola to sign the books. I'll alert you if I think the delay could be longer. Sometimes, I'll feature a book only to learn after you've ordered it that it is no longer available, temporarily or permanently. I'll send you a note to ask if you'd like a substitute. If not, I'll refund your money through PayPal.Information about the sale of original Tomie dePaola children's book artwork should be requested from Sherry Litwack (sflitwack@earthlink.net).
